I Hate How the Medication Has Changed my Body

I call this stage of my life my Marilyn portion. I hate how my body has turned out after all these medication changes, and Marilyn has nothing but love for her body. I've always looked up to Marilyn Monroe. I have posters of her covering my bedroom and bathroom walls. She is a constant reminder of what true beauty is to me. Not giving a F what other people think. " To all the girls who think they're fat because they are not a size 0, you are beautiful. It's society that's ugly." It's hard because I was a size 0 last year this time and buying clothes from the kids' section. Now I have a whole new wardrobe of barely any clothes that fit. I'm being very vulnerable here. This is something that messes with my core. I can look up at her from my bed every day and say that I am beautiful, no matter what my size. "Marilyn Monroe, the world's biggest sex icon, her tummy isn't tightly toned, her thighs touch, and her arms aren't skinny. She has stretch marks, and her boobs aren't perky. She is known as one of the most beautiful women in history. You are a Marilyn, so don't let any man or media tell you different." Wanting to be someone else is a waste of the person that you are. This is only a stage, and I will love my body no matter whatOur bodies, our quirks, and our dreams are what make us unique, and embracing them will help us shine brighter than any image we see on screen. So let’s celebrate our own journey and find joy in being the wonderful person we already are.
