Rocky Horror Makeup

Makeup for the Drag Queens- I'm hoping I impressed them.

Every year, some where around Ontario a live interactive show is put on normally around October called “The Rocky Horror Picture Show”. I have seen it live 3 times and watched the musical over 100. I even had a birthday party theme dedicated to doing and learning the “Time Warp” dance. At the theatres you get little goody bags filled with rice, toast, party hats, newspapers, gloves and more. When the scene prompts youcan throw what the accessories is up in the air as high as your hearts desires and watch the chaos unfold. It’s truly a one of a kind experience.

I knew I had to take my makeup to the next level while getting ready to see one of these live shows. So I took advice from the drag queens and this is the look I created. Blue, dark blue and black eyeshadow are all from the Jeffree Star Blue Blood palette. The white below my brow and at the corner of my eyes are from James Charles Morphe palette. The dark green is from Violet Voss Best Life with a mix of Blood Money by Jeffree Star. I used a thick black liner from Shoppers to make the wings so grand, and found face gems at the Dollar Store and glued them on to my skin using eyelash glue. The lashes are from the ColourPop X Barbie collection. I’m also wearing a wig purchased from Shein

The coat was a thrift from Value Village and the earring are hand made from a craft show I went to in Sarina. The zebra print dress I’m wearing then but not for the show was a thrift from St Vincent DePaul as well as the head scarf. The pearl headband is again from Shein. The purple shoes and the were a gift purchased from Call it Spring when they had their closing sale. The purple colourful finale dress was purchased at St Vincent DePaul, it matched the shoes and has a collar covered in gems and sequins.

The family all dressed up and mom and I wore wigs. Dad was supposed to be EDDIE and mom and I were just the alien background dancers. If you ever have the chance to see Rocky Horror Picture Show live jump at the chance! You won't regret it. Follow my Makeup and Fashion Journey
