My Chaotic Office
My current hiding spot : My office.

Tucked away in the little back corner of the Wonnacott household is a room in which everyone else calls the junk room. Us Wonnacotts, call it the "scrapbooking" room as that's where my mom used to do all her crafts when we were little.
I was in desperate need of a place of my own. Somewhere I could think clearly that wasn't my bedroom. Somewhere I could do school work that wasn't the kitchen or dining room table. Somewhere I can hid out and relax do art and just be me. That's when the wheels got spinning and we decided to turn this room into my office. First thing that had to go was the sewing machine so I had space on the table to work. Then we moved the scrapbooking shelf and turned it sideways to give even more room. I put a whiteboard poster on it to cover it up also so I know what I'm doing with my life, where and when. I have Christmas lights decorating the whole office, to give it some ambiance. The chair and foot stool are my thrift finds, because we all know I love those. The chair I picked up off the side of the road one summers eve and carried it next door to wear I was living to give it a nice, good deep cleaning. It comes to every place I live in now. The stool is apart of my vanity set in my bedroom which was purchased off of Facebook Market Place. I just have no room for another piece if furniture in my bedroom, even something so small like a stool.
Behind me from the photos point of view, we have another piece of upcycled furniture. This used to be a TV stand that I have turned sideways and now use the drawers to put all my hair supplies I collected from Lambton College in. I have my five mannequin heads, my hundreds of perm rods, perm solution, hair colour, different kinds of shampoo and conditioner, different kind of hair treatmensts, mens clippers and more tools that you could ever imagine shoved into this thing. Normally I'm not one for box dyes but I got a whole bunch in a bundle set off Poshmark. I couldnt say no, so they stay apart of my collection in case I need a pop of colour in my life. Which I'm always changing hair colours so it could be more often then you think.

I have 5 hair dyes, (one not shown, im using it while currently trying to go blonde). 4 different kinds of curling wands, a hair crimper, two hair straighteners, two hair dryers and a bubble wand. It's also got a bunch of makeup bags shoved in here too filled with hair clips, pins and accessories.

Turning to your head left of the room from the shelf, you will see my real life mood board underneath the ironing table. I use this mainly at the moment for my Upcycling your Wardrobe class to see the patterns on how to make a sequin skirt. I bought this bad boy corkboard for 2 dollars at a garage sale. I cannot believe how massive it is. So much I can do with it.

Turning again to your left in the room, you will see a calendar that I write every little detail on so I can keep track of my life. It tells me what courses I have when, it tells me what doctor I’m seeing at what time. It tells me what lunch dates I have coming up and with who. It’s a great overall visual for the month. It’s just the start of July that’s why there is not much added quite yet. But trust me by the end of the month this thing is full of dates, arrows X's and hearts. Right next to my calendar is my computer.

Okay lets get this out of the way first, yes it’s obvious I vape. Yes that is a collection of old ones sitting there. Yes I know it's bad for me. No I don't plan to stop soon. Questions answered? Good. I've spend countless hours on my computer doing research for schools and what programs I want to do. I also solely play a single game on a program called Steam and a game called Dominion.

Dominion one of my all time favorite games in human existence closely followed by Bananagrams, Anomia and Harry Potter: Hogwarts Battle plus the expansion pack. It's a deck building game that takes a little while to learn but once you've started playing you can't stop. I've almost bought all of the expansions online but I only have this version in person. I bought it hoping i would have friends to play it with. Nobody has played with me yet and the game is getting dusty. Any takers?

Behind my computer are my decks of tarot cards. No I don't think I'm a witch possessing the powers of the world, but I do find them to be a useful tool to help guide me along the way. Especially if i'm confused in life or having a rough time. Of course I couldn't just settle for normal tarot cards. I'm Bronwyn. I had to get the Shakespeare and Alice in Wonderland ones. The pictures on the cards dont matter as in the long run, its the messages the cards give you that matters.

These photos above are my collectable makeup on a shelf above my computer. These are the makeup palettes I won't use but would like to showcase. We have a wide variety of palettes up there like: a Clueless palette a Kim Chi palette, Hello Kitty, Ghostbusters, Care Bears, The Grinch, Dobby, Twilight, SpongeBob, Lucky Charms, Strawberry Shortcake, Beetlejuice, Stranger Things, Game of thrones and a Nickelodeon palette. Plus I think I'm missing a few. Here is where I also keep little doodads and trinkets and things like my Polaroid camera or my normal camera. I have two fake plants on that shelf one visible and the other is knitted hanging vine placed into a disco ball on the right side of the picture. My sister made the clay monster, no questions asked. Looking on the wall to your right you will find my string organizer.
I believe this could be used as a tackle box or some kind of fishing organizer, I clearly don't know, but I use to it colour code and organize my string for my other manic hobby, embroidering. I embroidered 12 pieces in around 10 days. How i organized it is that i have the full string packages at the top and I have the loose pieces of string at the bottom. Ones that's can be used for small details or smaller projects.
This hobby didn't last long but one day I spent 10 hours embroidering almost straight and my finger felt like they were falling apart by the end of it.
As well as this being an office this is also my art and creative room. I like to express myself in different ways so I have so many different mediums of art scattered around the room. From paints to pastels, paint pens and chalk, spray paint and pencil crayons, I have it all. I also like drawing Disney cartoon characters in my sketch book just free hand with a pencil. I also have beads for necklaces and beads for ironing onto pictures as well as masks to practice make up on and sketchbooks glore.
Next in the room we have layed out the analyzed scripts for my Voice Acting classes. I want to get into to audiobooks, and maybe create a space where I can read Shakespeare for an audience. That's where my true interests lie. Storytelling is such a powerful thing and I want to be involved.
Just behind my thrifted chair I have a single lamp. On this single lamp I have the best garage sale purchase ever made. An ABBA Dancing Queen jumpsuit. There is no particular reason why it stays in my office it is just to showcase its wildness but I just find it awesome. Who would want a black sequin jumpsuit?
