A Chapter Over

If your heart hurts after letting go of something or someone that's okay. It's hard to say goodbye to a chapter you loved but the beauty lies in knowing the story isn't over yet.

4 months later I am finally healed and free to walk and shower at my pleasure. I had a bad and nasty E-bike accident back in April which caused an abscess that tunneled through 4.5 cm deep into my leg. Which neither the hospital or the doctors caught, after multiple visits. It wasn't until I was assigned an at home care nurse that came in May that poked and prodded till she found the hole. I am so thankful she found it when she did or my situation could have been worse.

Some people walk into your life and change it for the better. My nurse was a true angel. We had amazing care from the at home care service. She advocated for me when I couldn't advocate for myself. Came everyday with a smile and a story to tell. She changed and dressed my bandages. She wiped the tears off my face. She did more for my mental health then I think she knows and I swear she loves my dog just as much as we do. We laughed and cried together she became a true friend. Dearest Mary our time together was short but you will always have a lasting place in my heart. It's not a goodbye its a see you soon for rhubarb muffins and coffee.
