FASHION UPCYCLING 

I AM APART OF A FASHION UPCYCING CLASS AND HERE ARE MY BLUE PRINTS FOR THE OUTFIT IM GOING TO MAKE. HERE IS MY VISION. 

Top
Deconstructed squishy hot pink swinger dress, bunched to the side to make a  bow. Made into a off the shoulder crop top.

Skirt

The skirt is a deconstructed leopard print dress cut in the middle and a  waistband added. I'm making it a mini skirt as the cape covers most of it anyways. 

 Pattern

 Sequins , sequins and more sequins! I have a collection of sequin shirts from my thrifting past so I've decided to deconstructed them and put facing on the back so i can cut the sequins in to heart shapes that will be sewn on to the cape. 

 Spray Paint

For this course i have to show some kind of stamping or spray paint on my garment to demonstrate that i know how to use the different textiles and mediums. I chose to spray paint and old pair of white shoes pink, blue, and purple and added glitter and sticker pearls to the sides to amplify the effect of the spray paint. Drawn on the shoes are the New York city skyline and the name Juliet, inspired by Shakespeare Romeo an Juliet. the purple and pink in the shoes go with the purple sequin hearts. I'm undecided whether im going to spray paint the laces pink to add another pop of color.

The Cape

I found this sheer over skirt at the thrift store and really wanted to use it but didn't know how to make it into a outfit. I am now placing it over the skirt as a train or cape to add dramatic effect. Once the sequin hearts have been sewn on i have to sew a pink band of  fabric sequins at the bottom of the train, which will match the pink in the crop top and skirt.  

The Vail

See that pink material in the top right corner of the picture? That's going to be the vail. I will sew a thick pink rim around the edge of the vail to give it that clean effect and then attach it to a pearl headband.  

Not for daily wear although,  I will wear anything. The look is Avant Garde and dramatic, it bright and glittery . But so am I.
